Solar Energy Body Scrub

Leo may rule the heart but the solar plexus plays a big part in how this sign’s energy manifests itself. It’s no secret that we look better when we feel better about our appearance. This scrub was created to inspire that all-over glow that comes from feeling and looking your best. It features citrus which is not only wonderful for opening the solar plexus chakra but is a wonderful non-abrasive exfoliant to eat away dry and flaky skin. Just be sure to avoid sun exposure after using this scrub as citrus can cause the skin to be sun-sensitive.

• 1 cup sea salt

• 1⁄4 cup Sunflower Oil

• 1 tbsp. Ground flax or hemp seed meal

• Zest of 1 lemon

• 4 drops Bergamot essential oil

• 4 drops Lemon Verbena essential oil

• 4 drops rosemary essential oil

Mix essential oils with sunflower oil to combine and set aside. Be sure to wash lemon thoroughly, even if using organic lemons. Add lemon zest, seed meal and sea salt to a clean bowl and mix. Add oil and blend with a fork to get a uniform consistency. Store scrub in a clean, sealed container. This mixture will keep for 1-2 weeks in the refrigerator.

To use, massage small amounts of scrub onto the body working in circular, clockwise motions. Begin at the solar plexus region to activate the chakra, then start at the bottom of your feet and work up. Rinse Well.
