Daily Oracle Pulls: July 27 - August 02

Prepare yourself as we get a visit from the Tower this week. This is not a welcome card of course, but I almost always find that it’s not as devastating as you might think. Especially not as a daily draw card where I think card’s effects are naturally diminished. It’s not that they don’t matter, but they aren’t as significant so take a deep breath. When I look at the other cards for this week, what I see is a lot of mental liberation. We have the Ace of Autumn Swords appearing twice, AND bookended the Tower. This is important to note and likely means most of the Tower’s influence will be psychological and having to do with beliefs.
But keep in mind that the Tower means destruction but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Perhaps you are facing a deep seated belief that you don’t actually want to have but you don’t know how to let go. The Tower in this intense can represent the mental breakthroughs needed to shift that idea towards something positive.

→ Nine of Autumn Wands
This card represents endurance. It appears when you’re tired, worn out, and ready to quit however, it also means you’re closer to completion than you realize. The additional layer of Autumn reframes this card as the exhaustion of thresholds: that heavy, liminal space where endings and beginnings overlap. You’re neither here nor there and holding both spaces is challenging your strength. Receiving this card is an acknowledgement of your fatigue but also affirms your resilience. You have weathered storms, defended your ground, and pushed through obstacles. Now, the threshold is before you—you’re almost there. Do not mistake tiredness for failure. Do not mistake frustration as a sign to quit. Perseverance at this point, when you most want to give up, is what carries you across the finish line.

The Autumn High Priestess represents a key step in the fool’s journey. It isn’t enough to take the leap (the fool) or to direct your intent (the witch). At some point, you must look within yourself to discover the source of your desires, actions, and the urges driving your choices. This card acts as a mirror when it appears meaning, you must face what’s in front of you. There’s no way around your situation except to go through it, to experience it and to let your inner knowing guide your path.
When you face this inner mirror, you will find that it can only show you what you already know to be true. Listen to what you’re feeling. Learn to trust in the signs you’re sensing through your body, mind, heart and soul. When you allow yourself to believe what you already suspect, the answers will start to fall into place.

The Ace of Autumn Swords marks the potential for mental liberation. It’s the moment when truth downloads into your mind, unlocking clarity and deeper understanding.
This is your chance to call the thing by its true name and to move forward without delusion. What makes this moment so hard is that the next step after clarity is action. You could choose to ignore the information now in your possession, therefore falling back into old habits or you can claim your mental sovereignty and the things illusions have kept from you. There is an urgency with all ace cards regardless of their suit or season. Autumn leaves will wither and fall whether you're ready or not. Just as the truth this card represents won’t linger forever. This is your summons to turn clarity into change before darkness descends upon you once again.

→ Autumn Tower
There are some events that are so complete, so thorough, they’ve changed your entire trajectory. Occurrences that are so sudden and violent in their destruction that nothing can put them right. The Tower represents such circumstances. They’re the situations we didn’t see coming and yet, will have the biggest impact on your life moving forward. A home flooded, a partner saying they want a divorce, a diagnosis of an illness, or a layoff from a job when you’ve just bought a house. When something so devastating happens, all you’re left with is a clean slate to start over again.
When this card appears, it's to remind you what can happen when you over identify with something. Sometimes we give so much value to things that don’t really matter at all, at least not in the grand scheme of things. Perhaps your attachment to something has prevented you from living the life you desire in your dreams. Maybe you’ve stayed right where you are out of fear of what might happen if you dared to do something different. It may not feel like it at this moment but the Tower’s destruction is a path to liberation. A chance for you to make an intentional decision about what your life can look like.
The Tower can also be something you’ve decided for yourself. You may wish to burn down a bridge just for the sake of making something final. It can be symbolic, representing a breakthrough or a dramatic shift in perspective rather than a physical hardship. However the tower manifest itself, all that will be left to do after the dust settles is to move on and chart a new course from here.

→ Lion
The lion corresponds to courage, something nearly everyone can agree upon. The trouble is knowing what courage actually means. Some might believe it means having no fear while others believe that it means having fear and doing the thing anyway. I say courage is about trusting in yourself. It's about knowing you don’t have to panic even when you’re afraid. You can do the hard thing while still being kind and compassionate. Above all, it means slowing down and taking your time. A lion is courageous but also methodical. It's easier to be courageous when you’ve done your research or slowed down enough to assess your situation before rushing to act. It's even easier still to be courageous when you don’t allow your more raw emotions to be in the driver’s seat. Therefore, your charge today is to think before you act, assess before you judge and respond to the situation with curiosity and a knowledge that you can get through it when you see your circumstances clearly.

→ Hilltops
The beauty of taking breaks, is that you finally have the clarity of mind to see the bigger picture. It’s hard, maybe even impossible to see things clearly when you’re tired or burnt out. And even if you do see things clearly, you won’t be able to put plans into place when you’re struggling to get through the day. But when you are at ease, rested, and calm, you can see all of the possibilities. Suddenly what once seemed impossible now seems doable. The challenges you couldn’t deal with finally have solutions. Most people aren’t able to reach the mountaintop and it's not because they lack the skill. It’s because they fill themselves up with a lot of shit that isn’t theirs to carry. They pick up other people’s bullshit opinions, expectations and model their dreams after people they don’t even know. They chase society's ideas of what is good or worthy instead of what’s right for them. But you don’t have to be that person. You can reach the mountaintop. You just have to be smart about where you place your energy.
