Even though Samhain will have has passed come November, I’ve decided to keep using the Seasons of the Witch: Samhain Oracle for our daily draws throughout November. It might seem counterintuitive at first—after all, the veil has closed, the costumes are packed away, and the world is shifting toward winter’s stillness. But Samhain energy isn’t something that switches off at midnight. It lingers for a while yet.
Samhain is the moment when everything hidden rises to the surface. It’s about release, reflection, and reckoning—energies that don’t vanish just because the calendar turns. In fact, November is when those realizations begin to settle in. The magic of Samhain teaches us not just to look at what’s ending, but to sit with what’s been revealed and decide what to carry forward. That’s why we’re continuing with this deck a little longer.
The cards this week echo that theme beautifully: change that’s more internal than external, reflection that asks for honesty, and protection that reminds us we’re not alone in this work. Each pull offers a chance to integrate the lessons of Samhain, not just celebrate them.

→ Transformation
Transformation appears in our daily pulls again this week but its impact is less severe now that it's much further away from the Banshee. There are still some changes you need to make that you may have been putting off. The thing is, when you pull a card like transformation or the Tower, there is this expectation that you’re going to suddenly lose your job or that something major is going to happen and sometimes it does. Most of the time however, the transformation is internal. A mindset shifts or you have a realization that pushes you in a new direction. Don’t just keep your eyes open for hardships and drama. Instead, ask yourself how are you changing? What about you is different today? That will give you more clues as to what your current transformation is really about.

This is your sign to make the little things in life more of a priority today. Start by paying attention to things you’ve overlooked recently. Perhaps you might linger a bit longer with your partner every morning before leaving for work or actually savor your evening shower instead of rushing through it. You might be more intentional about the jewelry you wear or spending a few moments tidying up your bedroom. Little things like this don’t seem like a big deal at the moment but can easily pile up overtime. Suddenly, your house is a mess or your partner feels unappreciated; problems that are easily avoided with 3 minutes of your time and a little attention.

This card is one of self-truth. It appears when you need to seriously stop and access where your life is. To face the things you don’t like about yourself and to bring attention to the things that are perfectly fine. It’s hard to acknowledge something that doesn’t feel good. It’s hard to admit when your clothes don’t feel good on your body, or when your spending habits are out of control. It’s challenging to acknowledge some of your longest friendships just aren’t in alignment with you anymore or that your job is sucking the life out of you. Mostly because acknowledgement means needing to do something about it and denial makes avoidance so much easier. But this can’t go on forever. This is a false sense of security: a faux comfort zone. Because the truth is that you aren’t comfortable at all and reflection has appeared today to encourage you to do something about it.

Today is about your protection. A chance to lean on your ancestors and the spirits assigned to guarding you for safety and comfort. You are more protected than you realize, even when it seems like you’re hitting one problem after another. There are forces helping you each step of the way however, you can still do your part to ensure you are always energetically safe. Committing to a protection practice like energy clearing or cord cutting can help to reduce any harm directed towards you. Also spending time in places and with people who are positive rather than bringing you harm goes a long way in keeping your spirit free of dangerous debris. This is your summons to make your energetic protection a priority. If nothing else, do a quick clearing just to be on the safe side.

Apples appear as a warning and advise you to slow down today. Avoid making any major decisions or any decisions at all if you can. You don’t have all of the information just yet but today is a wonderful day for divination. It is Samhain afterall. However, what appears perfect and lush may actually be rotten inside. More will be revealed soon but for now, be ok with not having the answers. If you try to push forward with plans or with a choice, you could end up making a grave error that can easily be avoided with a bit of patience. This is especially true with people in your life as this card can often indicate deceit.

Something is haunting you, even if you don’t realize it. Ultimately this card is about responsibility. Either you need to atone for something or you need to own up to something you’ve done. Today is a wonderful day to reflect on your own mistakes and how you can learn from them. Where have you dropped the ball recently? Is there something or someone you owe an apology to? Perhaps you’ve been unfair with someone, making things out to be their fault when you need to take ownership in your part of the issue. There can be no true healing for anyone involved without accountability and rarely is an issue the result of just one person involved. There’s no reason for you to excuse anyone’s poor behavior but remember that includes your behavior too.

This card represents finding your inner magic and the season of Samhain is absolutely the time to do it. This is the time to work your biggest, grandest spell. To reach out to the spirit realm for your deepest questions. To declare you are all powerful and to actually believe it. This is the time when you can set an intention for greatness and it will most likely come true. This is a truly powerful season to believe in your magic. So ask for what you want boldly. Don’t be afraid to state your desires clearly to the universe and to believe they will come true.
