Happy June my darling. The cards for the month are starting off quite clear. They want you to find your light and just in the cliche spiritual way but to really think about what it means for you to be free. Or indeed, if that’s even something you feel that you need. The thing about your light is that it’s yours to do with it what you choose. If you really don’t want a spotlight shining down on you then embrace your desire to be in the shadows. The point of these cards isn’t to encourage you to be the next Kardashian, but to remember you have agency. To know that your life is yours to paint in the colors that feel best. Don’t feel pressure to be sheen or to hide.

→ Garden Beds
It’s always a better idea to work smarter, not harder. This card appears when you are wasting a lot of time either on mistakes that should be easily avoided, unnecessarily complicated components or steps, or wasting time and energy trying to learn a skill that could be outsourced. This card can also mean you are doing a lot of busy work while getting very little accomplished. Are you just moving paper from one stack to another or can you honestly say you’re checking things off of the list? As always, this card is not an excuse for judgment but an open door to greater awareness. What do you need to do or change to be more effective and efficient? This is not just about trimming the fat but also, understanding how to better manage what you currently have on your plate.

Things are destined to speed up when the sun wheel arrives. You might find yourself needing to make quick decisions today. This is not the time to take your time. Act quickly as the sun wheel’s energy is quick to rise and quick to fall. Any hesitation could result in an opportunity lost so make sure you know what you want and are prepared to act on it with the choice presented. This card also acknowledges the feeling of overwhelm that can come along with a lot of sudden change or movement. Even good changes have their challenges so don’t feel guilty if you feel overwhelmed, pressured or frustrated with the speed at which things might be moving today. Take a deep breath and know that while the pace may be a bit gruelling right now, it won’t last forever.

The Green Witch has appeared to urge you to pay attention to your actions. She knows that every time she takes of the earth, her action has a consequence. She knows she shouldn’t take more than she needs or waste the precious gifts earth has offered her. She is forever attuned to the world around her, offering her gratitude for what she is fortunate to have. Her advice is to be mindful in your own life. Not just what you take from the earth but what you take from others as well. Your words might steal something precious from someone. You might take their confidence, their sense of safety, their ability to feel creative and worthy. It may seem like a joke that’s no big deal or is if you’re just playing around but it may be funny to the person on the receiving end. Your words matter and more importantly, how you wield them matters most of all.

We tend to believe animals are happy to be domesticated. That horse should learn to love being confined to a small space, acting as transportation for humans instead of roaming as they please. Take a moment to imagine your soul is a horse that has been captured and forced to be “broken.” The truth is that so many of us are wild horses that have had our spirits broken. So many of us are living in a cage made out of pressures, expectations, fears, and complications. These cages may not be physical but they hold us in all the same. Horse has appeared to urge you to remember your wildness. To show you that you do not have to stay confined into the spaces others are expecting of you. You can roam free, changing your direction at any moment you choose. There are so many, especially animals, who do not have the choice to change their lives but you do so make the most of it.

This card comes on the heels of yesterday’s message: roam free. But here, not only are you asked to find your freedom but also to find your light. And more importantly, to let that light shine. Don’t be afraid for people to see you. You might be hiding yourself without even realizing it. Do you duck your eyes when people come near? Do you roll into yourself energetically when you feel insecure? Do you keep your opinions and ideas to yourself because you don’t want to be seen as silly or dumb? If so, then that’s you hiding your light and you don’t need to. It’s time to stand a little taller and to show the world that you are not someone to hide in the background. You have value, yes but also character, personality, ideas, and energy that are worth seeing.

Sunstone appears when there is a deeper desire to be seen. You may not realize it but a part of you is carving a bigger spotlight. That doesn’t mean being famous. This desire could manifest in being recognized for a job well done or feeling a sense of appreciation for all that you do for the people you love. It could also mean getting your work out there or just being noticed by a potential lover. The thing about being seen though is that no one can see you for who you are if you go out of your way to look like everyone else. Imagine trying to find a specific brown brick in a mile long stack of brown bricks. But a bright green brick would stand out easily. The point is that being like everyone else means no one can notice the unique parts about you that are worth pursuing. So let those weird edges come out a little more. That’s what’s going to get you noticed.

What song are you hearing right now? What’s calling to you, begging you to come closer and have a deeper look? There’s a reason why something catches your eye or tickles your spirit. It means there’s something there for you. Something that could lead to the greatest adventure of your life if you let it. Don’t mistake a calling for a clear answer; it doesn’t work like that. Sometimes that first call is just the first of many breadcrumbs, leading you down a path that can only reveal itself in time. The problem is that so many people believe the whole journey will be spelled out for them and when that doesn’t happen, they give up because they’re too afraid to go into the unknown. But your dreams are around those dark corners and deep waters. They’re not hanging out on a vine for you to pluck. They have to be pursued, earned and committed to.
