It makes my heart so happy to see some of these cards. Many of you know that I have really been struggling lately. My mom has had some health issues and we’re very, very close so I have not been in a good place emotionally, spiritually, mentally or even physically. Things are getting better now thankfully but seeing these cards below gives me even more hope.
So many of the cards point to the end of a hardship and the beginning of something truly wonderful. And some of you may not feel that exactly. Some of you may be thinking “well, I’m still going through the shit!” The cards have something for that too with the Nine of Winter Wands to round out the month. You can read more about it below but ultimately it means the worse has passed and things are really going to lighten up for you. I hope you’ll believe this card to be true.
And just in time for Imbolc. What a beautiful time to replenish your sense of hope and to begin to expect light to come back into your life.

→ Four of Winter Cups
I have always felt as though apathy isn’t the only story when you look at this card. Sure, the figure could be bored with life or disengaged but what if that isn’t a bad thing? What if this figure is content more so than apathetic? What if they simply have all that they need and are in a position to say no? When this card appears, it's because you’re closed off from incoming opportunities. Your job is to determine whether or not this is an intentional act of self-care, self-awareness or contentment or if you are shut off in a way that isn’t serving you. Sometimes saying no is the most powerful thing you can offer yourself; a wise form of self-investment. But it can just as easily be a way to stay rooted in an outdated way of thinking. The line between the two is razor thin. You may not have the answer to this question today and that’s ok. This card has arrived to nudge you to open yourself up just a little, even if only in the confines of your own mind.

→ Nine of Winter Cups
The nine of cups is always a welcome card. Although called the “wish” card, it represents a feeling of being ok more so than a magic wand. It’s the moment when you realize your world is good, settled and that what you want is either yours already or well on its way to being yours. This card also serves as a call for gratitude. When it appears, take it as an invitation to be thankful for all of the good happening in your life. Will there be challenges to face? Yes, of course. Life is always going to throw you a curveball from time to time but for now, find joy in the pleasures of life, especially if there are no fires to put out.

→ The Winter Witch
Winter Witch, aka the Magician, comes to you as a reminder that you are not without power. Perhaps you can't control a situation but you can control yourself and your actions. The Winter Witch is confident in her abilities: to heal, to manifest, to do what she needs to do. She offers you some of that confidence, reminding you that you always have resources available to you. They may not be what you wanted or expected but they are available nevertheless. You have spirit backing you up. You have the elements to support your growth, you have your own intuition that’s quietly whispering what you need to do. It’s not that things aren’t there, or even that you aren’t listening. The problem is that you haven’t trusted yourself to take this information and put it into action.

→ Ace of Winter Cups
The Ace of cups, like all ace cards, represents an opportunity. In this case, the opportunity corresponds to matters of the heart. While it would be easy and perhaps desirable to immediately assume this card relates to love, there are so many other avenues in which this card’s energy can unfurl. Love isn’t just about a romantic partner or even the shared relationship between two people. This card invites you to open your heart to all of love’s possibilities. To open your heart, that is the chance being offered to you now. Today is a day to contemplate how you can soften your heart and allow more love, passion and ease into your life. But as is the case with all aces, this chance is not a guarantee. It's still up to you to grab for whatever presents itself to you today or allow it to slip back to where it came. Take time to consider a new love interest, spark of an idea, a connection snapping into place, or even just your interest being piqued. Today could be the start of an unexpected love affair if you're willing.

→Six of Winter Wands
The first word that always comes to mind with this card is fame but I think we sometimes get caught up in the idea that fame means being a celebrity. Not necessarily. It could mean that of course in extreme cases but this card is really just about being noticed. It’s about getting deserved recognition for all that you have done or given. It’s validation that you are good at your job, at taking care of a task or even just a good person all around. Receiving this card means others see you, even when you think no one notices how much you do. This is especially true for caregivers out there. Or the unsung heroes. You may not get the words but know that your contribution matters and that people are grateful. Sometimes giving praise to others is hard but that doesn’t mean it isn’t felt. This card invites you to see yourself as a success too. It doesn’t matter if people are blowing the trumpets for you when you walk by. What matters is that you know you’ve done a great job.

→ Nine of Winter Wands
Much like other cards from the week, the nine of winter wands wants to let you know things are good or will be very soon. This card appears to let you know not to give up. It’s not time to end things just yet or to quit. It’s not time to scream doom and gloom or to expect the worst. Quite the opposite as it's time to expect something good to come into your life. This card falls into your reading when spirit knows shit has been hard lately. Things may have been coming at you left, right and center but you’re still here. Nines represent that last step before the end of a journey so know that there’s little more to endure.

→ Black Bear
Happy Imbolc darling. Ultimately, this card means you have nothing to fear even if you’ve faced some challenges lately. Yes you may have to defend yourself or put in some effort but you’ll be ok and that’s the main thing. This card guides you to think of yourself as the top of the food chain. Does it mean other predators won’t come for you from time to time? No, not at all. But it means you’re stronger, smarter, faster and more prepared or, you absolutely have the capability of being that. You’ve gotten this far because of your strengths and in spite of your weaknesses. Believe in yourself and believe that something or someone has your back.
