Things are changing right now, in big ways and in small ways. The weather is so strange and seems to be more so everyday. It seems protests are breaking out in ever space of the world and on the whole, life feels a little like a really sad circus. Things are changing for each individual person too. So many more people are asking themselves what matters to them. They’re trying to figure out what they will and will not accept as normal or even right. But more than that, people are pushing away from the idea that they have to be like anyone else. So many are learning to find peace in their respective corner of the planet without needing to perform it for likes or turn it into a business. We are reclaiming the right to not have to hustle or girl boss or do anything beyond what makes us feel comfortable and at ease.
When I look at these cards, what I see if a call to disconnect from the status quo. To let old version of what matters die so that newer, more aligned versions can fill that space. Values change as life changes so if you’re contemplating the end of something, try your best to face that rupture with grace and gratitude rather than fear and anger. But most importantly, listen. The whisper are all around you, guiding you to what matters most for you right now. Don’t listen to the noise of people who want to distract you from your purpose. Connect with yourself and let that be your guiding light.

→ Death
We all have to make our peace with death at some point. And while we tend to think about death as a person passing, the truth is that death is with us every single day. We lose things, people leave us, chances fade and dreams fall away. Those are all deaths in their own way that we have to learn to move on from. Mourning is hard but the grief is there because you experienced something meaningful to you; something you loved or something that represented a part of who you are. There is beauty in that. A funeral can be a celebration of life as much as it is a grieving of death if you let it be that. This card is asking that of you today. It wants you to understand that the death of one thing doesn’t mean the death of everything. Life still goes on and there is still much to find and love and enjoy. Don’t let the end of something be your stopping place. Don’t make your life smaller just because one thing hasn’t worked out. Or because many things haven’t worked out. The point of life is to live. If you give up because something has left you, then you become a ghost in your own mind, and your life becomes your haunted house.

→ Third Harvest
Your soul draws this card to you when it wants you to stop putting yourself down. Stop looking at your mistakes, things you missed out on, qualities you lack, or what isn’t working. Instead, look at what you have done even if it's just a few things. Even if all you can celebrate is making it through another shit storm of a day, then pat yourself on the back for having the strength to do that. Putting yourself down is doing you no favors. I repeat, PUTTING YOURSELF DOWN IS DO YOU NO FAVORS. It does, however, convince you that all hope is lost and that isn’t true at all. You aren’t going to change your life overnight no matter how much any guru, including myself, tells you that you can take control of your life today. But you can change overtime and it starts by deciding you aren’t going to bully yourself anymore. You aren’t going to be the one to say mean things about you. You won’t be the one to crush your own dreams. You won’t be the one who doesn’t believe in yourself. Being able to talk yourself up is better than any spell, morning routine, ritual or spiritual tool. I hope today is the day you decide you’re going to lift yourself up instead of tearing yourself down.

→ Voices
I love this card because I have seen first hand how the universe will whisper to me and I’ll ignore it so it will whisper a little louder and I still ignore it. This goes on for a while. The universe gets louder and more aggressive with each whisper until suddenly a whisper becomes a roar and things are falling apart. It doesn’t have to be this way. I could listen the first time and everything would be so much easier. But humans are hardheaded. We dismiss the feelings and signs, assuming we’re just making things up or reading into things. The universe is ALWAYS speaking to you, you’ve just been ignoring it. That poster that caught your eye in the coffee shop and felt like confirmation of an idea you had? That was confirmation. That name you keep seeing everywhere? Yup, that’s a sign too. That feeling you have that something is off? Yes, that is indeed the universe whispering to you. You don’t need to keep asking for signs. What you need to do is trust in the signs that are already being given to you.

Spiritual work isn’t glamorous. It isn’t just an aesthetic or pretty words you say to sound more profound. And it requires a whole lot of courage. To be able to look into the darkness and have it look back is not for the faint of heart. But that is what you sign up for when you embrace a spiritual path. Darkness feels scary because we’ve been taught for hundreds, even thousands of years, that what we don’t understand is something to be feared. Things we can’t neatly label are destructive to the status quo. They force us to leave our comfort zone. They require us to shed destructive heirlooms we’ve come to know as our identity. And breaking the illusion is never easy, especially when our relationship with delusion is so deeply enmeshed in society. This card appears today because you aren’t delusional or ignorant to the task of what it means to truly be in alignment with your spirit. But, you aren’t acting on your guidance either. It’s time to stop saying you’re doing the work and actually do it. To listen to what is truly being offered and not just expect the answer you want to hear. To align with what actually feels good and right without watering it down to fit what you believe is acceptable or easier. That’s a tall order but you can handle it. The question now is, will you?

Today’s card has appeared simply to tell you that you are protected and that something in the aether has your back. You may feel as though things are always falling apart around you or that you always seem to have bad luck but this isn’t true. You’re still here beloved. You’re still getting through the day, even when it's hard to do so. Being protected doesn’t mean being free of hardship. Try to think of it in a new way. An ancestor might lend you their strength to keep going or a spirit guide might soften a much harder blow. Perhaps an angel sends you a helper or the universe puts something in your path to prevent you from going straight into danger. We rarely get to understand how the universe helps us and we don’t need to know the details to know that we are safe. All you need to know, and feel deeply in your heart is that something is watching over you.

This card represents a positive transformation and is typically a sign you are beginning something new in your life. Seeing this card as a daily pull means something will happen today that will change the course of your life. It may not be something dramatic. It could be a small choice, a passing thought, something you noticed on your way to work or just a feeling that sparks a journey towards a deeper understanding. The most important thing about this card is that it's positive. It isn’t like the tower where you have to go through a dramatic dark night of the soul. It's more like an ah-ha moment or a sudden feeling of being exactly where you need to be. You don’t have to go looking for this moment. It will fall organically upon you. Just keep in mind, a transformation isn’t a one and done sort of deal. New beginnings can unfold over the course of days, months and even years. But if you find yourself experiencing a place of resonance today, then take note and watch as it unfolds.

Advancements are moving at an alarming rate; each new day bringing a list of new developments. It seems the rules change with each passing moment too. A new disaster, a new scandal, or a new world order that would’ve seemed unimaginable not so long ago. People like us are not meant to run at this pace. Everyone in the world is feeling a lot right now but you and me, we’re feeling so much more. That’s why silence is not something we can skip on. It’s something that is as vital to us as water or food because it's how we repair ourselves. It’s also how we unplug from the madness to reconnect with spirit who will guide us in our hours of need. This card appears today as your reminder that you are not like everyone else. You are dialed into the universe and your own soul but you’ve forgotten to take that time and care. Make it a priority today. Refill your own cup instead of letting the world drain it dry.
