→ Protection
Today’s card has appeared simply to tell you that you are protected and that something in the aether has your back. You may feel as though things are always falling apart around you or that you always seem to have bad luck but this isn’t true. You’re still here beloved. You’re still getting through the day, even when it's hard to do so. Being protected doesn’t mean being free of hardship. Try to think of it in a new way. An ancestor might lend you their strength to keep going or a spirit guide might soften a much harder blow. Perhaps an angel sends you a helper or the universe puts something in your path to prevent you from going straight into danger. We rarely get to understand how the universe helps us and we don’t need to know the details to know that we are safe. All you need to know, and feel deeply in your heart is that something is watching over you.

→ Divination
There is a need for more reflection when this card appears. The descent into the darker parts of the year is already a natural time to contemplate. To evaluate how you’ve risen, fallen, dropped the ball and in general, how your life has changed. Divination is often diminished to a party trick—a way to pretend to know what the future holds. And yes, it may offer some idea of what’s to come but its true gift is to guide, rather than predict. To understand yourself on the deepest levels so that your future becomes less a game of chance and more a reflection of intention met with self-aware action. But you have to take steps to understand your circumstances before you can change them. That’s why this card has appeared for you. So that you can divine your life, excavate the gold and discard what holds no value. To determine what you’re holding that offers no support in return.

The simplest message from this card is to trust the journey. To know that there are no shortcuts or quick answers. There’s no way to skip past the hard part or to make things easier than they’re supposed to be. You are where you are because that’s what you need. And perhaps you need to learn things the hard way. Perhaps you’re the kind of person that needs to be devastated before you can truly let go. Own that if that’s what it is. This card is a reminder that hardship is also a lesson. Hard won for sure but there are truths this lesson will offer you that will help you later on. The trick is stop avoiding them and be present for the good and the bad. To show up for your own life because you don’t get another one. This is what you have so make the most of it, even when shit feels hard and especially when things are going well. Life is a rollercoaster for you, for me, for everyone. Find the way to make the best out of the life you have and in doing so, you will find the life you’re supposed to have.

Today is about your protection. A chance to lean on your ancestors and the spirits assigned to guarding you for safety and comfort. You are more protected than you realize, even when it seems like you’re hitting one problem after another. There are forces helping you each step of the way however, you can still do your part to ensure you are always energetically safe. Committing to a protection practice like energy clearing or cord cutting can help to reduce any harm directed towards you. Also spending time in places and with people who are positive rather than bringing you harm goes a long way in keeping your spirit free of dangerous debris. This is your summons to make your energetic protection a priority. If nothing else, do a quick clearing just to be on the safe side.

→Dark Moon
A card about new beginnings which tells me, today truly is your chance to think about what comes next in your life. Look beyond the common stuff like wanting more money or to start your own business or to fall in love. Peak into the void and stretch yourself and your ideas. Perhaps nothing physical changes. Perhaps your life stays the same but how you approach life is what gets an upgrade. Maybe you’ll be committed to being more positive or to showing more love. Maybe you’ll stop expecting others to do things the way you want and you start loving people for who they are rather than who you want them to be. Or maybe you are ready for something physical to change. Maybe you want to be that fashionista you’ve always dreamed of or maybe you really do want to go back to school. Whatever your maybe is, just make sure you don’t sell yourself short. That you don’t want something because you saw someone else with it or because everyone else is doing it. And maybe that’s the new beginning: just living for yourself for once.

The Underworld indicates a time of transition. You’re no longer who you were but you haven’t truly become something new either. This is a liminal space where you’re still trying to navigate what a “new you” actually means and if it is indeed, something you truly want. This space can feel scary just for the simple fact that so much is unknown. There’s so much more to learn and understand before a true sense of grounding can occur. But this can also be a powerful time of discovery. A chance to be intentional and to curate rather than accept whatever comes your way. You always have a chance to say “no, not this path.” It often doesn’t feel that way. It can seem as though your life is a game of fate or that circumstances are truly beyond your control. Don’t mistake SOME circumstances for all. SOME things are truly beyond your control but many things are not. But when we rush through the transition, we miss the things we CAN do and WANT to do. Don’t miss this chance. Be present as you move from one space to another.

→ Mischief
This card comes with two meanings. The first is the most obvious, which is to have some fun. Take a deep breath and do something that brings you joy. Life is always going to have challenges, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy yourself. Give yourself a break and spend a little of your time enjoying life. The second meaning is to be creative. Sure, you may have obstacles to overcome and yes, they could be very serious but that doesn’t mean you can’t be imaginative about how to solve your issues. Think laterally. Allow yourself to go to the weirdest, most bonkers idea and see if that opens your mind to new possibilities. That’s the joy of having fun: it breaks you out of tunnel vision and gives you something new to contemplate.
