I don’t talk about Earthcraft Oracle nearly enough. It was actually my first oracle deck—long before Seasons of the Witchtook over the spotlight. In some ways, I think it’s easy for even me to overlook it because so much of my life and work has become tied to that later series. But Earthcraft is where I first put my heart into cards, where I first dared to channel the land, the seasons, and spirit in this way. It’s deeply personal, yet often overshadowed by its more famous younger siblings.
So this week, I wanted to return to my roots. To let the Earthcraft deck speak. And wow, did it have a lot to say.
The cards drawn for the week ahead aren’t shy—they’re candid, sometimes confronting, but ultimately supportive. They’re here to remind you (and me) that the point of this path isn’t perfection or constant striving. It’s to grow alongside life itself, to release what no longer fits, and to trust that everything changes—by choice or by necessity.

Monday June 30, 2025
→ Wildflowers
This is your immediate summons to fill your life with wildflowers or to light some candles or buy yourself chocolate or spend the day reading your favorite novel. We often hear talk about romanticizing life which could easily slip into a lot of work making things look physically beautiful in a performative way. But at its core, romanticizing is about stopping to smell the roses. It's about doing the things that facilitate small moments of joy. Rather it be making a latte instead of that regular cup of coffee or pulling out your extra fancy sheets and pajamas for a touch of luxury when you sleep tonight. The point isn’t to make the action grand instead, it's to remember you’re worthy of just a little bit extra.

→ Spirit of the South
The spirit of the south is a key indication that you know what you want or at least you have some idea but have been too afraid to act on it. You’ve gotten plenty of signs which bring you confirmation but then the doubt rolls in and you’re on the hunt for another. This card appears to ask you what the real hesitation is? Is it truly that you don’t know what you want or are you just afraid to claim it? Afraid of what people might think of you, how hard this path might be, what you’ll lose out on, failing or changing you in some unsavory way? Whatever your fears, know that spirit isn’t going to wait forever for you to grab hold of the signs. So this is your wake-up call. Either you start honoring what you’re feeling in your spirit or the universe is going to start doing some clean up for you and that path will definitely burn a lot hotter than anything you can do for yourself.

→ River Woman
Whoa darling, why are you trying to force so much? River Woman appears to share with you her grace and ability to go with the flow. She’s not interested in pushing into a space that doesn’t feel natural or stressing herself into an early ulcer when things don’t go her way. She goes where spirit directs her currents knowing she’ll land exactly where she’s supposed to be. Sometimes that will look like a dam, sometimes it will feel like jagged rocks and other times it will be calm, smooth waters. And each place she finds herself in will be the right place for what she needs at that moment. Trust that even challenges have their benefits. It won’t seem like it at the time and it's not supposed to. Your job isn’t to “fix,” it’s to “flow.” It's to be present in today’s lesson without immediately assuming it's wrong.

→ Offerings
Offerings is a card about give and take. More specifically, it's about knowing balance isn’t necessarily a one for one thing. Sometimes you need more than you can give and sometimes it's the other way around. To offer something is to give without expecting anything in return. That’s not to say your offerings won’t reap a reward but it may not be immediate or even what you’re expecting. This card asks you to give from your heart today, even when giving offerings to the universe or your favorite deity. Don’t give while asking for more money or to meet your soulmate or to have clarity. Just give in the spirit of community and love and respect. The same thing goes for the people in your life. Buy someone an unexpected coffee or give a compliment just because you can. That will go a lot further than giving just so you can be given something in return.

→Spirit of the West
The Spirit of the West wants you to slow down, to rest, and to regather your strength. If you’re reading this from the United States, let today’s holiday be the perfect excuse to do nothing or to enjoy restorative activities. Not to check your emails between family gatherings or to sneak off to work on a project. Actually allow yourself the time to exhale. Maybe slow down while you eat and truly enjoy the food. Wherever you are, let this card remind you that you are not a machine and even if you were, you still need maintenance to keep going.

→ Sacrifice
Receiving this card today means you’re holding onto things that are holding you back. That doesn’t mean they’re bad things. Sometimes we hold onto old ideas, old parts of our personality, or old but happy memories. None of this might be bad on the surface but that doesn’t mean it's right for where you are now. Good, beautiful things can still have the wrong fit just like a gorgeous garment that’s two sizes too small. And when this happens, the path forward is to let go so that your hands are free to grab the thing that fits like a glove. You’re being asked to commit to what’s right for you today, even if that means you have to let go of what was right for you in the past. Just like your body, your spirit will change over time. What once contributed to your joy may be a source of stress now. What once felt like a deep desire may feel flat or irrelevant now. Give yourself permission to experience these changes knowing no sacrifice comes without something else to take its place.

→ Karmic Debt
The beauty of the future is that it’s untainted and can be whatever you choose. That’s my favorite line from this card in the guidebook. Mostly because it's a reminder that karma isn’t a punishment, it's an opportunity. A chance to redo an old situation by making a healthier, more informed choice. How many times have you wished you could redo an old situation? Well the truth is that you can. That’s why you find yourself in familiar circumstances, reliving the same behavioral patterns. Spirit is giving you the chance to change what you’d like to change about your past. It may not look exactly the same but it doesn’t need to for you to reap the benefits. If you find yourself in similar situations again and again, ask yourself what you can do differently this time around? Ask yourself how you wish to be different rather than relying on old habits. That’s what it means to clear karmic debt. When you view it from this perspective, you’ll hopefully realize the universe was never trying to harm you, it's just trying to give you a chance to heal and grow.
