Harvest basket has arrived to tell you that you can have more. You can be more and you can do more. Look around and ask yourself if you honestly feel like you have enough? Maybe you don’t want to be an employee for the next twenty years? Maybe you don’t want to be independent and wish you had a partner? Maybe you just want to move to St. Tropez and live a slow and simple life. Having more doesn’t necessarily mean buying a million dollar home or being some high powered CEO. More can mean different. Whatever more means for you, know that this card found you today to let you know it's possible. Go ahead and entertain yourself with what you can still achieve. Let your mind run wild today, even if you have no idea how you’ll get there. You may not have done something wild in a while but perhaps today is a good time to start.

The simple guidance this card offers is to be kind. Kindness costs absolutely nothing and yet, you never know how it could change someone’s entire life. Buying a stranger a coffee might result in a lifetime of that same stranger buying coffees for a thousand other people. A smile might remind someone that they aren’t invisible or a compliment might keep someone from spiraling when they feel like they’re unworthy. You will probably never know the full impact of a kindness given and you don’t need to. All you need to know is that a kindness given is a kindness that will be repaid. Some time in the future, someone will show you kindness and it will change your life. Doing good not only nourishes others but it feeds your soul too.

This is a happy card; perhaps the happiest of the entire deck. It has a positive influence regardless of the question being asked. It means your light is finally on. Something has clicked into place and you’ve become your own generator. And you know what else? People are noticing the shift. You may not know what’s changed or why you’re suddenly an inspiration to others and perhaps you don’t need to know. It doesn’t matter how you got here as long as you stay here awhile. You may find that today, people smile at you or say hi more than usual. You may find that you feel good today or that something seemingly lucky and unexpected happens. As a physical action, this card guides you to go for it! Ask them out, ask for a raise, ask for a discount, ask for constructive praise. Be just a bit bolder today and when something truly does go your way, let your light shine that much brighter.

→ Welcoming the Harvest
This card represents success, plain and simple. If you’re thinking about something you wanted to do then seeing this card is all the sign you need to know it will be a positive outcome. However, I feel compelled to say success doesn’t mean you’re free of challenges. Every goal is challenging. It doesn’t matter how aligned you are or if this is your purpose: it will be hard. There will be times when you won’t know if it's worth it and there will be times when you can’t see how something can be successful. And when those times come along, I want you to remember this card and to know that obstacles do not mean failure. Obstacles are a part of life and the journey. You will struggle whether you go after your dreams or not. This isn’t a possibility, it's an inevitability. So will you be successful, yes but don’t expect that to mean the road is going to be smooth sailing. You still have to show up, do the work and be prepared to pick your harvest when the time comes.

This card represents abundance and what a beautiful card to receive as we begin to close out the month. Never is the earth more abundant than during summer. This is the time of the year when we can see the richness all around us from an abundance of leaves to sunshine to fruits and veg to laughter in the air. You do not need wealth to understand prosperity. You can be wealthy in spirit or time, freedom or joy. We try so hard to manifest financial abundance which could come so much more easily when we stop focusing on just one path to prosperity. Your job is to feel abundant so that you can attract it but remember that you don’t have to have a lot of money to feel rich. Take today to look around and make it a point to find abundance, specifically in something besides money.

→ Fruit Jam
When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade but don’t stop there. You can make candied lemon, lemon marmalade, lemon curd and so on. This card was inspired by the process of preserving fruit by turning it into jam. Fruit left on its own will spoil quickly, especially in the summer’s heat. Our ancestors could cry over a short lifespan or be resourceful and turn one thing into another that could last longer. You don’t need anything right now. You don’t need more resources or time or experience either because you need to learn to be content with what you have or because what you have is more than you’re willing to admit. I always say, having more clothes doesn’t make you stylish. Some of the most elegant dressers create outfits with 30 pieces and that’s it. Chasing resources is an excuse; an easy way to avoid actually doing the thing you want to do. Stop looking for something to need and start using what’s available– it's more than enough for right now.

The lion corresponds to courage, something nearly everyone can agree upon. The trouble is knowing what courage actually means. Some might believe it means having no fear while others believe that it means having fear and doing the thing anyway. I say courage is about trusting in yourself. It's about knowing you don’t have to panic even when you’re afraid. You can do the hard thing while still being kind and compassionate. Above all, it means slowing down and taking your time. A lion is courageous but also methodical. It's easier to be courageous when you’ve done your research or slowed down enough to assess your situation before rushing to act. It's even easier still to be courageous when you don’t allow your more raw emotions to be in the driver’s seat. Therefore, your charge today is to think before you act, assess before you judge and respond to the situation with curiosity and a knowledge that you can get through it when you see your circumstances clearly.
