Sunburst

This is a happy card; perhaps the happiest of the entire deck. It has a positive influence regardless of the question being asked. It means your light is finally on. Something has clicked into place and you’ve become your own generator. And you know what else? People are noticing the shift. You may not know what’s changed or why you’re suddenly an inspiration to others and perhaps you don’t need to know. It doesn’t matter how you got here as long as you stay here awhile. You may find that today, people smile at you or say hi more than usual. You may find that you feel good today or that something seemingly lucky and unexpected happens. As a physical action, this card guides you to go for it! Ask them out, ask for a raise, ask for a discount, ask for constructive praise. Be just a bit bolder today and when something truly does go your way, let your light shine that much brighter.

Dried Flowers

The thing about death is that it means the ending of something but also the beginning of something else. What makes death seem so scary is the not knowing. If you knew for sure that you would go to heaven or that you would be reborn, I bet death wouldn’t seem that bad. If you know you would get married to the next person you date if you left this current relationship, then I bet you would say “so long.” But we can’t know what comes next. We can only be certain that where we are isn’t enough and something needs to change. Or that something has ended and it's time to move on. If only fresh flowers never faded or people never changed, but that isn’t how life works darling. So the advice today is to let go. Things aren’t going to stay the same forever but there’s beauty in that. Let things evolve as they need to. Let yourself evolve too. There’s nothing wrong with you or those involved. It's just time for one season to end and another to begin.

Terracotta Pots

This card speaks of integrity. It invites you to contemplate how reliable you’ve been, either for yourself or those around you. Have you done what you said you would? Have you stayed true to your values even when no one was there to witness it? Being reliable is how trust is formed. When people can count on you, you become a respected and exalted person in someone’s orbit. This card isn’t here to put you down but to help you understand your choices matter. And it's not just about being reliable. Being the person who doesn’t gossip or being the person who is positive and warm to be around goes a long way towards finding a community of people who enjoy your company. It's easy to be around those who feel good to be around. So if you’re looking for more connection then perhaps start by asking what kind of person you want to be and if you’re living up to that image of yourself.

Iced Tea

The most important takeaway from this card is that you only get one body. There won’t be a replacement if you run it into the ground. You can’t trade your body in for a new model when your current one starts to malfunction. So taking care of your body is really something that should be non-negotiable. Which means, taking breaks should also be non-negotiable. And not taking breaks when you’re so tired you’re ready to pass out. But being mindful enough and loving yourself enough to stop and say “I can’t keep going like this.” Because the truth is you can’t. You can’t keep pushing past your limits or adding more onto an already full plate. There’s no more space to do more or be more, not as you are right now. Take a rest today, even if it’s just for five minutes to close your eyes. Trust me when I say, everything you have to tackle will still be there when the rest is done. The only difference is now, you’ll actually have the energy to deal with it.

Hilltops

The beauty of taking breaks, like you were charged with yesterday, is that you finally have the clarity of mind to see the bigger picture. It’s hard, maybe even impossible to see things clearly when you’re tired or burnt out. And even if you do see things clearly, you won’t be able to put plans into place when you’re struggling to get through the day. But when you are at ease, rested, and calm, you can see all of the possibilities. Suddenly what once seemed impossible now seems doable. The challenges you couldn’t deal with finally have solutions. Most people aren’t able to reach the mountaintop and it's not because they lack the skill. It’s because they fill themselves up with a lot of shit that isn’t theirs to carry. They pick up other people’s bullshit opinions, expectations and model their dreams after people they don’t even know. They chase society's ideas of what is good or worthy instead of what’s right for them. But you don’t have to be that person. You can reach the mountaintop. You just have to be smart about where you place your energy.

Wheat & Grains

This card represents good fortune and a positive change in your circumstances. On the surface, it might seem like a card of good luck but luck doesn’t have much to do with it. Good fortune finds you when you’re willing to do the work. When you show up for yourself and do what’s required to heal, grow or evolve. That means you aren’t making excuses or coming up with reasons why you “can’t.” The most important thing to remember when receiving this card is that nothing is going to drop in your lap. You want to receive good fortune, well, stop expecting a miracle and instead, start reminding yourself everyday that anything is possible when you work hard enough for it. They say luck is preparation meeting opportunity so start preparing yourself for greatness and you will start to see a much bigger harvest.

Citrine

Citrine is a very positive card to receive as it signals the beginning of a shift in how you view yourself. This card suggests the rise of your confidence. Perhaps one of the biggest tragedies of the spiritual industry occurred when people stopped believing in the power of a positive mindset. Let’s be clear, there is a positive mindset and then there is spiritual bypassing; they are not one in the same. You can acknowledge a shitty day or situation while also remaining positive you will find a solution. You can face your challenges head on without spiraling into negative self-talk or victimization. Confidence isn’t always about loving how you look or feeling like you’re hot shit. Confidence also appears in knowing you can do hard things or you can overcome tough challenges. Confidence comes in the form of knowing you can learn a skill when you find yourself lacking or that you can figure something out when you’re unsure. It’s a belief in yourself and that starts with having a positive perspective. So let’s all stop using spiritual bypassing as a way to play the victim and start reminding ourselves that how we view the world has a huge impact on how we move through it.
