→ Lion
The lion corresponds to courage, something nearly everyone can agree upon. The trouble is knowing what courage actually means. Some might believe it means having no fear while others believe that it means having fear and doing the thing anyway. I say courage is about trusting in yourself. It's about knowing you don’t have to panic even when you’re afraid. You can do the hard thing while still being kind and compassionate. Above all, it means slowing down and taking your time. A lion is courageous but also methodical. It's easier to be courageous when you’ve done your research or slowed down enough to assess your situation before rushing to act. It's even easier still to be courageous when you don’t allow your more raw emotions to be in the driver’s seat. Therefore, your charge today is to think before you act, assess before you judge and respond to the situation with curiosity and a knowledge that you can get through it when you see your circumstances clearly.

So far, this month’s card draws have really dug in and wanted you to work on your confidence. Leo is no different. In fact, Leo is the zodiac’s most confident sign. This sign demands respect and isn’t content to be quiet or play the role of doormat. Leo’s teach us how to speak up for ourselves and to follow our passions. This card appears today to guide you to live from the heart. To do so, you are being asked to contemplate what matters most for you. Not just what you want or need, but what’s the thing you truly care about? Even if it's irrational or silly or improbable. When Leo is at her best the words “I can’t” simply do not exist. Not only can she, but she will absolutely knock it out of the park just to prove the naysayers wrong. That’s true confidence. Does she always know what she’s doing? Absolutely not. But she knows she can learn, adapt, evolve or rise to the occasion and you can too. So borrow Leo’s energy today: figure out what matters most to you and then, figure out what you need to attain it.

→ Tiger’s Eye
Sometimes things come to a natural conclusion. It doesn’t mean you’re broken or that you’ve broken something. It just means your life is changing which is an inevitable part of being a human. People change, goals change, desires change, the way you deal with problems change. Tiger’s eye has appeared to answer your question: no you aren’t unlucky. No, the universe isn’t being mean or unfair to you. No, this isn’t going to last forever. What you see as an unlucky streak is probably you resisting change. This could be a beautiful time of expanding your comfort zone and yes, that will be hard at times. It will require you to adapt in some way and that comes with growing pains. But, trying to stand still when a gail force wind is trying to blow you somewhere else, is also painful, often more so than just letting the winds take you. This is your sign that change can be good or at the very least, it doesn’t have to be bad just because it's different. But if you’re still feeling unlucky, then consider that maybe your luck will turn around once you stop fearing the changes that are going to happen anyway.

→ Fruit Jam
When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade but don’t stop there. You can make candied lemon, lemon marmalade, lemon curd and so on. This card was inspired by the process of preserving fruit by turning it into jam. Fruit left on its own will spoil quickly, especially in the summer’s heat. Our ancestors could cry over a short lifespan or be resourceful and turn one thing into another that could last longer. You don’t need anything right now. You don’t need more resources or time or experience either because you need to learn to be content with what you have or because what you have is more than you’re willing to admit. I always say, having more clothes doesn’t make you stylish. Some of the most elegant dressers create outfits with 30 pieces and that’s it. Chasing resources is an excuse; an easy way to avoid actually doing the thing you want to do. Stop looking for something to need and start using what’s available– it's more than enough for right now.

→Coming of Fall
Don’t give up!! If nothing else, this card is a sign to keep going. It doesn’t matter what mistakes you’ve made or what age you’re turning this year. It doesn’t matter if you missed the start of a trend or if you haven’t done something in a long time. And it definitely doesn’t matter what some 19 year old asshole has to say. There’s still time for you to accomplish whatever you like. Perhaps it doesn’t look the same way you once imagined or perhaps the way you go about it is different now but it's still available to you. So don’t walk away. Don’t give up on a dream because it's hard or because you can’t see a clear path. You can make this work, but you have to believe that’s true first. Stop bullying yourself into calling it quits. Stop belittling yourself into thinking your chance is gone. The only way you don’t get a second harvest is if you decide not to plant anything.

→ Poppy
Poppy comes into a reading when you’re tired, burnt out, or you’re so over-needed that you can’t see to your own needs. And you want to know what happens when you feel like this? You aren’t able to receive the guidance and clarity you need because your focus is everywhere else but on you. You aren’t able to understand the directions for your own path because you’re too busy walking along a road that isn’t yours or isn't meant for you. All those ideas you once had that are now ghosts, died because you didn’t nourish them. All those days your body could’ve rested were instead filled with “should do, could do, had to do” instead of investing in your spirit given right to recovery or recalibrate. You’re seeing this card because you need a strong reminder that you’re pushing yourself too hard: it's no wonder you feel lost or confused. That’s your mind, body and spirit telling you it can’t hold more right now; not until you slow down and give yourself a break.

→ Fruit Trees
Everybody’s path is different, I know you know this. But do you believe it? Do you know that you don’t have to compare yourself to someone else? Do you understand that your life isn’t supposed to look like theirs to be valuable? I know it’s easier said than done but I also know that you aren’t doing yourself any favors by being jealous. You’re putting energy into someone else’s basket when you focus on what they have. That’s energy that could be directed towards your own desires and plans. And if you aren’t careful, you’ll waste so much time trying to reach someone else’s branch that your own branch will wither and die beneath your feet. And guess what, that person will still have what they have while you’re the one who ends up with even less. The grass is greener where you water it so stop looking at their green acres and start watering your own garden.
