Daily Oracle Pulls: April 20-26

Before we dive into the reading for this week, I’d like to stop ask how you’re doing? And I don’t mean that in passing or be polite. I want you to stop and check in with yourself. How are you really doing? I’ve come to realize how often saying “I’m fine” is a lie. We say that so that it doesn’t make others uncomfortable or to pretend we aren’t totally breaking down inside. And that’s fine. You don’t need to be vulnerable to everyone you meet. But when you’re speaking to yourself, be as honest as you can and admit when you’re struggling or sad or even when you’re so happy you could burst.
This week’s cards feature a lot of empowerment. Energies that are urging you to take control of your life. To understand that life is hard and it will often knock you on your face but, there are parts of it you can control. You can shift your priorities and you can learn to believe in yourself. You can check in with yourself like I suggested earlier and make an honest assessment about where you are emotionally and what you need to do to be somewhere else.
All of these cards are asking you to truly understand how much you believe in yourself, the universe or the vision you have for your life. It’s not about how many vision boards you’ve made or rituals you’ve done. It’s about knowing your wants and needs and then having the courage to do something to create them.

→ Oak
This card represents a need to review your priorities or goals or expectations. Perhaps you have had to change course in the past? You probably think you aren’t good with change or that it makes you uncomfortable but I bet if you take the time to review your past, you will see you are quite the chameleon. You’ve changed your stripes many times, although it probably wasn’t intentional. But you can do it with a purpose. You can transform into new versions of yourself with a clear focus and desire to succeed. Wisdom isn’t standing still. Wisdom grows, evolves and adapts. In fact, the ability to deal with change and to make use of it is a mark of intelligence. Genius people are able to problem solve and to create something new out of a failure. You can do the same. Stop looking at change as a bad thing.

→ Inner Power
I’ll be honest, when I wrote this card, I leaned in hard to “the power is within you” angle. And I do believe that but I’ve also come to understand that having inner power and accessing it are two very different things. We all have power, this is true but so few of us actually know how to trust it. What does that even feel like or mean, to trust your power? No one teaches us this, at least not in a way that actually moves the needle. So instead of me telling you that you have the power to do anything, I’m going to tell you that the greatest thing you can ever do is learn to trust yourself. To trust your instincts, to trust the guidance you receive from spirit, to trust that your ideas are good or that you’re capable. That is what inner power feels like. It’s not a light switch you can click or something someone can give you. It’s being able to say “I GOT THIS” and truly believe that you do.

→ Creation
There’s a fine line between keeping a goal secret and letting it out into the world. There’s a time when a dream must grow in the safety of your mind before letting others know about your plans. You don’t need to share your dreams with anyone until it has a chance to solidify and you know for sure this is something you wish to do. But you have to set it free at some point. You can’t hoard your dreams, not if you want them to come true. People will criticize you, regardless of how talented you are. Even legends have critics that will say “she wasn’t fast enough, he was too reckless, I don’t know what they see in her, she isn’t that good of a singer, he isn’t that athletic.” And none of that will be true but people will say it anyway. Because their criticism isn’t about you, it's about them. That’s their jealousy speaking on their behalf. Do what you have to do to give your dream the best fighting chance but know that at some point, a dream must be shared. You weren’t given gifts to hoard. You were given gifts to change the world, even if just a little bit.

The Green Man is an incredibly abundant card. Today is a good day to ask for what you want. Today is a good day to ask for that raise, a free coffee, or to ask a certain someone out. Typically when this card appears, there’s a feeling of confidence that seems to drop on you out of nowhere. You may not suddenly feel like you have the Midas touch but you’re feeling brave often bravery is all it takes. Give yourself a little push today even if it's to imagine how much more if possible for you. This card appearing means today is also a good day to plan your future. Think of your biggest dreams and how you might make them a reality.

→Milk & Butter
This card questions your faith in the universe. Do you truly believe in yourself? Do you truly believe the universe has your back? Do you truly believe your intentions will come true once you set them? Stop and really think about these questions before answering. You may believe it's possible to manifest but that doesn’t mean you believe it's possible for you. You might believe it's possible to have a soul mate but that doesn’t mean you believe it's possible you’ll meet yours. If you don’t actually believe you can do and have something, then you don’t actually have faith in the universe. And if that’s the case, the universe will say “ok, you don’t trust in me then I just won’t show up for you.” You might not even realize you don’t believe. It may be so rooted in your subconscious that it isn’t something you’ve ever truly thought about. Well today is the day to answer the question of faith honestly. And if you find that you don’t really believe in what’s possible for you, then you’ll need to get to work changing your opinion.

→ Primal
This card is about authenticity. About connecting to the deepest part of who you are that is pure and safe from the layers of living life. This part doesn’t need to emulate others to feel worthy nor does this part need to pretend to be something that it isn’t. This part doesn’t need external validation and it already knows who you are and what you came here to do and become. But with time, this part becomes covered up by the snide comments, fears and anxieties, criticisms, traumas and all other human expressions that can make you feel less than. Other parts learn to protect the purest, most primal part of you by hiding it from harm and before you know it, you’ve lost all sense of the intelligence deep within your being. But you can learn to access it again. It may be in hiding but it never truly goes away. It whispers to you urging you to go this way and that, to say yes or no and it guides you to things you love so that you can discover what’s meant for you. It will be the softest sound at first but as you learn to listen, this primal part will get stronger and louder until you no longer have to search for it; it will be your constant companion.

→ Vision
Everything you do, experience and hear should be filtered through your intuition. It only takes a moment to “try something on” to see if it aligns with your being. Does it feel right? Does it make sense for who you are or who you’re becoming? Does it feel safe? Does it feel true? Your intuition knows the answer to all of these questions and for every single circumstance you may face. But you have to take the time to listen and to check in. We only get into trouble when we ignore that inner wisdom. It's not going to appear with flashing lights. That’s not how it operates. It needs you to meet it halfway instead of expecting it to do all of the work for you. Think of your intuition as two people from two different countries with two different languages that want to live together in a happy marriage. You have to learn to speak the other’s language otherwise how will you communicate? Sometimes you’ll communicate in your language and sometimes in the other. But there will always be an equal exchange of both sides doing their best to live in harmony.
